The purpose of this organization is to project motorcycle riding as a safe and fun pass time. We strive to be family and community oriented in that we support our members' families and we plan events that will benefit the community.
The Choke Canyon Chapter derived it's name from the Choke Canyon Reservoir located in Three Rivers, TX. We chose that name due to the majority of the members working at the Federal Correctional Institution located 8 miles west of Three Rivers, and felt it would be a fair representation of the chapter. Although our chapter is named Choke Canyon, this chapter actually represents members from Beeville, Christine, George West, Karnes City, Three Rivers, and
the surrounding areas.
Our organization is open to all motorcycle enthusiasts who are law enforcement or non-law enforcement. However, convicted felons are not permitted in the organization. Our organization is structured in the following manner: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant of Arms, two Road Captains and a Chaplain. Positions can be held by any member with the exception of President and Vice-President. These two positions can only be held by a full-fledged member.
Membership types: 1) A full-fledged member is any person who is working or retired from a law enforcement type position and is in good club standing. 2) An Associate is any motorcycle enthusiast that does not work in law enforcement. 3) A Darlin is the significant other of any full-fledged or associate member.
We have donated to several local causes and organizations, such as Beeville School District, Live Oak County Boys and Girls Club, and Karnes City, as well as individuals in need. In addition, we have also provided Christmas toys to the underprivileged children in Christine, TX.
